By itself, your spa is certainly a satisfying place to be, but there
are many more ideas to make your spa experience the ultimate in relaxation
and enjoyment.
Location, Location, Location
If you have the choice, locate your spa in the most scenic
spot possible. Ideally, you could position your spa next to or within
sight of a lake, stream or the sea. A beautiful view of the mountains
or a stunning flower garden can be just the perfect scene for your
spa experience.
Create Your Own Tropical Locale
Don’t have the luxury of placing your spa in a scenic locale?
Create your own magical location by surrounding your
spa with large potted palms or pine trees. Hang soft lights around the
perimeter of
the area for a romantic appeal. The right music can also
add to the mood and atmosphere of your spa soak. If your spa is located
outside,
just the sound of songbirds and crickets can be wonderfully
soothing. Or if your spa is located inside, try a relaxing recording
of pleasant
nature sounds.
Candles & Fragrance
Add candlelight around your spa for the ultimate romantic
mood. Use tall, thin candles, large cylinders or clusters
of tiny votive candles to create just the right light. Candles
come in a myriad of
colors shapes and scents – pick your own favorites. Fragrances
can also add to the ambiance of your spa. Place aromatic plants, cachets
or incense around your spa area – available in every scent from
tropical to floral to pine. Scents are also available to place directly
into your spa water – just
be sure it is made for use in a spa.
Rest Your Weary Head
Have inflatable or foam neck and head rests at the ready
to really lay back for total relaxation in your spa or hot tub.
Décor
As we already mentioned above, surrounding your spa with
trees, plants and flowers adds to the feel. For a European look, decorate
with café umbrellas with logos like Martini and Rossi. For
a natural look, surround your spa with real or fake rocks and plants.
For a real garden feel, nothing beats a vine covered trellis or gazebo
with wrap around benches for cooling off.
